Partner at CAPIA, Mr. Rodríguez brings over 14 years of investment banking experience. Prior to joining CAPIA, from 2013 to 2016, Mr. Rodriguez was Head of Investment Banking for Peru, Ecuador and Bolivia for Itaú BBA's Investment banking Department, and was the named representative for Banco Itaú in Peru. In this capacity Mr. Rodriguez has advised several family groups/conglomerates as well as regional corporations in pursuing strategic transactions. From 2010 to 2013, Mr Rodriguez was CEO of Grupo Wiese and in this capacity he was involved in the sale of Invita Seguros de Vida y Pensiones and exchange of shares in AFP Integra to SURA Asset Management. Prior to Grupo Wiese he was a Director at Merrill Lynch & Co. and UBS Investment Bank in New York covering the FIG sector from 2002 to 2009, where he participated in several landmark transactions including over USD 50 billion in capital and funding raised for US and Global depositories such as Citi, JPMorganChase, Wells Fargo, Merrill Lynch, Morgan Stanley, Banco Santander, Mitsubshi UFJ, UCBH, Cathay Bancorp, among others; and several M&A assignments including Santander´s entry into the U.S. through Sovereign Bancorp, the breakup of ABN Amro (Grupo Santander, Royal Bank of Scotland and Fortis), and China Minsheng´s acquisition of UCBH. Mr. Rodriguez is also Director at Acceso Crediticio, and he holds a BSc. and MSc. in Industrial and Systems Engineering from Virginia Tech and an MBA from The University of Chicago Booth School of Business.
